Everything is possible with pools nowadays, what with LED lighting and affordable construction costs. Don’t settle for ordinary and spice up your water!
#1. Fun and Funky Inflatable Furniture
One of the most popular and well-known accessories to every body of water is a floating lounge chair, but that’s not where it ends. In fact, there are a myriad of choices regarding aquatic furniture available on the market. Everywhere from queen-sized beds to sofa couches!
Not only that, there are even recliner chairs that come in a variety of colors with extendable footrests. Floating cup holders (see below) are a great addition to these classics. Throw in a pair of sunglasses and you’re ready to soak up some rays while floating on the waves.
#2. Dog Toys and Ramps
First of all, let your dog bring whatever toy into the pool he wants. It won’t hurt anybody!
Dog ramps are a necessary addition to any pool that may even possibly have a dog swim in it. Even if your family only owns a dog that has no interest in water, a dog ramp should be the first thing you put on the side of your pool. It’s so necessary it should be legally required for pet owners as it is affordable and can save your pet’s life!
However, it isn’t only for the life of your pet. It’s also for the life of any other unfortunate critter that may happen to fall into the watery abyss with otherwise no way to escape from their imminent grave. Birds, squirrels, and any other friends that like water can all possibly benefit from the ramp.
However, if you’re anything like me, your dogs are your everything. You want to protect them at all costs, so make sure to read this website to better educate you and your family about safely swimming with your furry friends. Don’t exclude them this summer, but at the same time make sure they’re safe!
#3. Solar Covers and Weather Proofing
No matter where you live, you are absolutely going to want a way to protect the water from rain, debris, animals, pests, the weather, and even the sun itself. Any of the above can mess with your pool’s ecosystem and the chemistry necessary for it to run in a healthy manner, so of course several items exist on the market just for that.
Solar covers can perform all of the tasks you need done in one easy device. They will keep your pool neat, clean, and cool so you don’t boil like a lobster or dissolve like a seltzer tablet. Not only that, it stops the water from evaporating so you have to fill it less!
#4. Floating Chemical Treatment Dispensers
These things might sound like a lame addition to the list, but a necessity nonetheless. For more on Pool Chemical Safety: www.cdc.gov will bring you to the Center of Disease Control’s official website about healthy swimming practices. It will also go over the correct and environmentally friendly approach to the usage of chemicals.
#5. Floating Drink Holders and Drinking Games
Now these are by far my absolute favorite, affordable, easily-accessible accessory for any water activity. I love to drink and I also love to swim, making it hard for me to not get gross pool, lake, or ocean water into my beverage.
The only other thing better than a floating drink holder is a drinking game like beer pong. Even better if you can find a beer pong table you can use by yourself, that way you can just keep drinking by yourself and not worry about having to find new friends to swim with!
